Current TRJ School: Springfield Anglican College
I have been deeply involved in The Rite Journey (TRJ) program for over a decade, completing my initial training in 2011. Since then, I have lead The Rite Journey program at The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC), maturing our program to become recognised as a lead school in 2020. I have also had the honour of assisting Andrew Lines at Level 1 teacher training courses. One of the privileges of being at a lead school is that I am able to share my team’s collective knowledge through coaching and mentoring prospective and beginning TRJ schools. The success of TSAC’s TRJ program is born from our passionate, dedicated and experienced staff who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise in engaging and connecting with students. Each year the TSAC TRJ team evaluate and adjust our practices and activities to meet the ever changing needs of our students and families.
Leading TRJ for TSAC I have been responsible for:
Being a Rite Journey teacher has given me the opportunity to create meaningful connections with my students through engaging and challenging activities. I find the greatest moments in TRJ come from giving the time to really listen to what my students have to say which in turn develops empathy and understanding amongst their peers. This is one of the important milestones in becoming a responsible and respectful adult. I am excited to share with you what I have learned over the many years of leading The Rite Journey at TSAC.
