Aaron launched and successfully ran The Rite Journey (TRJ) as a single-sex program in a Catholic School for 8 years before moving to another Catholic School and launching the Rite Journey once again. These experiences were quite different due to system challenges, school demographic and students transitioning gender. Aaron has now launched a non-gender-specific program in an independent school, using the Rite Journey as the base of a bespoke program, with strong values and outdoor education elements. Aaron has therefore implemented The Rite Journey at three schools, all with different contexts. His ability to sell the program to leadership, staff and families is critical in a well-prepared successful launch and sustained success.
Years of experience has allowed Aaron to know what works, what the challenges are and how to embed TRJ into the Curriculum. As a pastoral care leader and HPE teacher, Aaron believes integration into the curriculum is critical for success. Aaron is a passionate advocate for young people and embeds principles of positive psychology, challenge and resilience into his program.
Aaron has seen the impact The Rite Journey has on young people and the forever memories created by the events and discussions.
