Gillian Simpson, Executive Principal, St Margaret’s College, Christchurch, NZ

The pastoral care, wellbeing and the social and emotional development of young women has always been our priority at St Margaret’s College. Year 10 in New Zealand has traditionally been the ‘lost’ year of secondary schooling and the Rite Journey progamme has given us the perfect framework on which to base our Year 10 programme.

Seeing our young women grow through this year from the first day at sunrise to the last day at sunset and to see how our families embrace the programme is a joy to see.

Our teachers too have embraced the programme and are advocates and mentors for others. I believe the St Margaret’s Rite Journey programme embodies all that the original founders should be proud of.

We are certainly proud to be a shining example of a Rite Journey school.
